Stopped doing these last May, but...
● Kind of amazing psycho-biological discussion of intimacy. Nice to see the psychology field coming together after a long behaviorism/ analysis rift. Also, many little revelations and provocations here.
● Didn’t listen to this yet, but probably good.
● So long, cowboy. Goodbye letters to President Bush. Collective memory… internet node as graveside. So cathartic! I wrote my own, planning on a swift coup de grace, but it turned into a huge long letter. Guess I’m not over him.
● It amazes me that ashtanga can resonate, and be a tool for healing, so far from the spoiled rich people sphere. So wonderful. I am curious whether the ashtanga community feels this has anything to do with us?

Joy – it’s so good, isn’t it? She’s from my shala. Such a lovely person.
Owl, I liked the first link a lot. ‘Non-conscious reattunement’ and ‘mutual regulation of arousal and security’ really shine a different light on relationships. The question of two nervous systems attuning to each other must be interesting to those of us engaging in nadi shodana..

Oh, the nadi shodana is a REALLY a good angle on this topic. Gosh.
Nervous systems are easily tripped; I think of how many partners chronically trigger one another. This whole mutual regulation thing is wondrous…

Yep. I agree that in those situations a focus on content is not necessarily the most productive. Will keep an eye out for this guy’s book when it comes out. To get a better grip on these reactions would be such a HUGE tool in relationships.
