Fantastic.
The blue of the woman’s dress made my whole body vibrate. I think it’s having the same effect on the man beside her (what a nice grin). SO happy your camera is fixed!

People here give the best eye contact. It’s kind of incredible and makes my heart a little tingly. I’m all internal and quiet today, but even just going in and out of shops and whatnot, people keep looking at me in the eye and giving these really easy smiles when I don’t expect them.
You’d think locals would want to shield themselves from random, rich yoga students. But the moment I start opening up my face to them, they’re there. I wonder if they find the majority of western visitors to be incredibly guarded and physically distant. Immigrants from Latin America to LA often talk about how hard it is to live in a city where nobody will really look at you.

I tend to smile stupidly at anyone who glances my way during my blissful rickshaw rides home following afternoon back bending…

who said if you want to see god you need look no further than the person just beside you? or, as the case may be here, the person just in front of your camera?
i think swine flu has (had) nothing on the pandemic of gaze-aversion. it’s as if humanness is contagious and if we REALLY look at it then—- then—- then——-
thanks owl. this is not just hoot-worthy, but some angel wings to boot.
